Your Future Lies Here.....
“People do not decide their futures. They decide their habits. And it’s their habits that decide their futures.”--F.M. Alexander
I love this quote!
I think about it every time a prospective client tells me about their failure with previous exercise/nutrition plans, or the client who famously said to me in her initial assessment, "Well, this probably isn't going to work but I'll give it a try....."
Guess you could call it a prophecy. 👀 👀 👀
I recently heard about a 2005 documentary called Reversal of Fortune. It followed a homeless man living under a bridge, documenting his daily struggles.
In a life-altering twist, the filmmakers gave him $100,000--and even paired him with a financial advisor.
It seemed like a golden ticket. A fresh start.
But within 6 months, he had less than $5,000 left. By 9 months, he was back on the streets. Homeless. In debt.
The opportunity was real, but the outcome was heartbreaking.
Why did this happen?
Because money wasn’t the solution. His circumstances changed, but his mindset, choices, and habits didn’t. Without learning to budget, invest, or generate income, the $100K slipped through his fingers.
The difference between living on the streets and thriving came down to his attitude and behaviors.
Good health is also about mindset and behaviors
Imagine waking up tomorrow with the body and energy you’ve always wanted—strong, lean, pain-free, full of vitality. Sounds amazing, right?
But… what would you do to maintain it?
👉 Would you move your body regularly?
👉 Eat with intention, not impulse?
👉 Prioritize sleep and stress management?
Here's the $100K question: Why wait to start living like the version of yourself you want to become?
The daily habits that maintain a healthy body are the same ones that create it.
It’s your mindset that unlocks lasting change.
Become the new version of yourself mentally first, then the physical changes will come.
You don’t need the “perfect” plan to begin. You need a mindset change that’s rooted in action.
Three steps toward achieving your goals
Reframe your goal. Don’t chase a quick fix or short-term number on the scale. Consider taking care of yourself as a way to protect your freedom, confidence, and quality of life. Commit to small, daily actions that align with your goals.
Build one habit. Start with something simple. In our ELEVATE program we begin with hydration. It's an easy habit but success builds momentum, and consistency compounds.
Think long-term. Ask yourself: “Could I still be doing this a year from now?” If not, adjust. Sustainability beats intensity every time.
The man in Reversal of Fortune didn’t fail because he lacked resources. He lacked a plan to grow into the kind of person who could manage those resources.
You already have access to resources: workouts, information, coaches, healthy food, even a supportive community!
But your habits will decide where you’ll be six months from now.
What habit are you ready to address?
Make it small enough to succeed but meaningful enough to matter.
Whether it’s drinking more water, walking after dinner, eating mindfully, cutting back on screen time, or getting to bed 30 minutes earlier, pick one thing and do it.
Then do it again tomorrow.
It’s not the dramatic overhauls that change your life, it’s the quiet, consistent choices.
That’s how real transformation begins. Where will you start? I'm here to help!
