Walter Green can teach us to live without regret.

"Say It Now"-- A Thanksgiving Message That Can’t Wait

November 28, 20252 min read

The most moving conversation I heard this week came from Peter Attia’s podcast.

The guest, Walter Green, told a story about a friend who asked him to throw a celebration of life after he died. Walter responded,

“Why after your death? Don’t you want to be part of the party?”

Of course he did.

So instead, they planned aliving tribute,a gathering where everyone who loved him showed up to say the things people usually wait too long to say.

That’s the whole point of Walter’s movement, “Say It Now”:
Tell people how much they mean while you can and while they’re here to hear it.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving—and in the spirit of saying things that too often go unsaid—I want to say this to you:

Thank you.

🙏 Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to read what I write. I know your inbox is full, your days are often overwhelming, and the world seems so crazy.

The fact that you open my emails, follow along, and indulge my fascination with all things health and strength-related means more than you know.

🙏 Thank you for letting me be part of your journey, whether you train with us directly or follow us from afar. Thank you for sharing your stories, trusting me with your struggles and wins, and teaching me just as much as I hope I teach you.

The work I do is only meaningful because of the people I get to do it with.

🙏 And thank you for being someone who cares about getting stronger, staying healthy, and showing up for your life with intention. You inspire me every single day.

Thanksgiving reminds us to slow down and appreciate what we have. After hearing Walter Green’s message, I’m reminded that gratitude shouldn’t wait for a holiday—or for a eulogy.

So I’m saying it now:

I’m grateful for you.

I’m cheering for you.

I’m honored you’re here.
