Group Fitness Instructor
Brief info

Nancy is from Mountain Brook, where she began taking dance and baton lessons at a very young age. She was a competitive baton twirler from childhood to young adulthood and won numerous state and national titles. Her love for baton landed her a spot as a majorette for the Famous Maroon Band at Mississippi State University. In college, she discovered her love for exercise and fitness, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Fitness Management and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. Throughout college she designed and taught fitness programs for kids and adults. Post-graduation, Nancy worked in multiple capacities developing cardiac rehab, stroke rehab, and post-injury exercise protocols. She joined TrainSmarter as a client 4 years ago because she was tired of “cookie cutter” fitness approaches. Nancy is married to her junior high school sweetheart, Barry Hamric, who also attends fitness classes at TrainSmarter. They have one son who loves personal training and kid's fitness programs at TrainSmarter. Besides her love for Mississippi State, Nancy enjoys spending time with her 4 legged babies (of course, 2 are bulldogs), traveling and spending time with family and friends.
