As a health and fitness enthusiast from Atlanta, Georgia, since early childhood Markia has wanted to ignite passion in people of all fitness levels to get active. Whether it’s through increasing flexibility and mobility for everyday movement, gaining the strength you need to accomplish your goals, or  finding the self confidence you need to get through life’s challenges, she is ready to help you on your journey. As a former track and field athlete, fitness has always been a cornerstone in her life and how she moves through the challenges that come with it. “When you show up in life as the best version of yourself you give others the space to do the same. So I am on a mission to become the best version of myself, and I want to help others realize that their best version is also within reach!” She earned her Personal Training Certification through the National Association of Sports Medicine and has over 15 years of athletic experience. Her philosophy is that if you improve 0.1% everyday, you are better than you were yesterday. She believes in the value of strength training to improve functional movement patterns and posture, increase strength, and foster a harmonious connection between mind and body.
